I don't know if rich people eat differently than you and me, but Anthony Bourdain thinks so. In chapter 3 from his book " MEDIUM RAW" book, Bourdain talks about few experiences during the time he lived in an island in the Caribe where many, many rich people --as Bourdain puts it--from around the world and elite groups of people would spend days under the sun, drinking, partying like rich people do, but apparently eating lots of mediocre food that costed a lot just because of the views. Pretty interesting writing and book that is. I am finally finished with the book and I admit I got a little choked up when I was reading the last paragraphs. I felt a connection with the book, and with Anthony Bourdain's spirit, a connection I didn't have and was not interested in pursuing. It happened out of the blue. Even when my friend Michael brought me the book, I was reluctant to dive into the paper back stories of Anthony Bourdain but I started reading the book and by a few pages in I was hooked.
Did you know he even published a Comic book? I found this out last time I was at my friend Gaston's Son of a Toast in North Park and saw a Comic in the back counter with a cover of what looked like a Japanese chef so I asked Gaston:
Chef Oz: Hey man, what's that?
Chef Gaston: What? The Comic?
It was then he went on to tell me Anthony Bourdain is the author of such comic as well as the story of him and that book. So, that day we were putting together our recent collaboration which is still going on. Check it out:

So, Summer is almost gone and San Diego has been offering amazing weather, do you think so? The wines I've been tasting are so delicious it is making it harder for me to pick our Wine Club options for the tastings. September's wine tasting is ready and you can get your tickets HERE and just today I already found October's wine club tasting options, but yes, it was hard deciding which four would make the cut out of seven amazing vinos from Terre Rouge that Jane O'Riordan the co-founder and Chef at the winery brought for me to sample earlier this morning..but it was easy picking the wines this time because of Jane's awesome personality. Video here is of our good times tasting the wines
